House Rules

The Little Lux was specifically built to create a romantic get-away for two. We are an adult-only property, no children.

While we love animals, we do not allow pets of any kind to respect possible allergies of all of our guests. Unauthorized pets, or pet damage will incur additional fees.

We are happy to accommodate service animals under the qualifications of the ADA. Please let us know in advance. 

While Emotional Support Animals or Comfort Animals are often used as part of a medical treatment plan as therapy animals, they are not considered service animals under the ADA and our No Pet Policy applies to them.

We do not charge extra for a service animal, nor do we increase the security deposit. Guest remains liable for any and all damage caused by people or the service animal.

Under the ADA, service animals must be harnessed, leashed or tethered, unless these devices interfere with the service animal’s work or the individual’s disability prevents using these devices. In that case, the individual must maintain control of the animal through voice, signal or other effective controls. The animal must be under control by the handler at all times therefore never left alone at any time.

Service animals are not allowed on the furniture or counters unless it is specifically related to the services the animal provides.

Misrepresentation of a service animal is a crime in Texas. Persons who falsely represent a service animal are subject to immediate eviction with no refund for unused days and penalties not to exceed $1000.

The interior of the property is clean, crisp and bright white. We’d love your help keeping it that way. Please remove your shoes and leave them just outside the treehouse door on deck, or just inside the door on the white wire shoe rack attached to the side of the counter. The treehouse is a small space and the dirt builds up fast, and stains the beautiful fabrics!

Please keep all equipment either on the upper or lower decks, do not bring outdoor equipment inside, e.g. boots, bikes, hunting and fishing gear, water toys, etc. 

Please do not use the white linens to clean dirty gear. There are cleaning rags in the bathroom on the back side of the counter by the cleaning spray, and a hose bib outside on the side on the bottom deck to clean things off, just make sure it is turned off completely. 

We are often under fire restrictions and for safety and insurance purposes, we do not allow open fires of any kind. 

Our goal at UpCountree Cabins is to provide a quiet, peaceful, romantic get-away. In order to keep a peaceful atmosphere for all nearby, we do not allow parties or gatherings of any kind on the property. 

While you may hear shooting in the surrounding countryside as this is prime area for birds, hogs, and deer, we do not allow shooting on our property. 

To respect the peace and quite of those nearby, we have designated UpCountree Cabins property as a quiet sanctuary. Please keep music and outside noise to a minimum.

This is a natural forest. There may be poison ivy or oak on the forest floor or vines in the trees. Refrain from hanging anything from the trees or walking off the groomed, landscaped paths for your safety.

No smoking of any kind inside the property or near open windows or doors. No illicit substances of any kind on the property.
